Recipe search...Does anyone have a recipe for Potato Chip Cookies OR orginal New York Thumbprint Cookies?

Thumbprint Cookies...





1/4 cup packed brown sugar


1/4 cup solid vegetable shortening


1/4 cup butter, softened


1/2 tsp vanilla


1 egg separated


1 cup all-purpose flour


1/4 tsp salt


colored sugar


strawberry or mint jelly


PREPARATION:


Heat oven to 350 degrees. Mix brown sugar, shortening, butter, vanilla and egg yolk. Stir in flour and salt until dough forms. Shape into one-inch balls; roll in colored sugar. Place balls about one inch apart on ungreased cookie sheet.


Press thumb deeply into each center. Bake 10 minutes or until light brown. Cool. Fill thumbprints with jelly.





Potato Chip Cookies...





3 1/2 c. flour


1 c. potato chips, crushed


1 c. sugar


2 tsp. vanilla


1 lb. butter





Cream butter. Add sugar, vanilla, flour and potato chips; mix well. Drop by teaspoons onto greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees until brown. Makes 10 dozen.Recipe search...Does anyone have a recipe for Potato Chip Cookies OR orginal New York Thumbprint Cookies?
POTATO CHIP COOKIES





1 c. brown sugar


1 c. white sugar


1 c. shortening


2 eggs


1 tsp. vanilla


2 c. flour


1 tsp. soda


2 c. crushed potato chips


2/3 c. chopped nuts





Cream first 4 ingredients then add the following 5 ingredients in order as given. Drop onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake in 350 degree oven for 10 minutes. Makes about 5 dozen cookies depending on the size.
