Is there some sort of recipe search engine where ...?

you can type in the ingredients you have and it will spit out various recipes using some or all of those ingredients? Is there some sort of recipe search engine where ...?
The only recipe search engine I know of is World's Biggest Cookbook:

http://www.worldsbiggestcookbook.com/

It indexes all the major recipe sites including the ones listed above (All Recipes, Recipe Zaar, Kraft Foods - which are all excellent sites, by the way) in addition to some that were not mentioned here like...

Epicurious:

Recipe Source:

Many people agree that All Recipes, Recipe Zaar and Recipe Source are the big three recipe sites. Epicurious is the big runner up. Food Network is OK but I much prefer the others.

All Recipes' search engine lets you search for recipes that include (or exclude) certain ingredients:

Recipe Zaar has a dynamic recipe sifter which is neat:

Recipe Source's search engine is not as robust but works well:

Epicurious has an excellent advanced search page:

Kraft Foods mentioned above has good recipes, a clean website design and also lets you search by ingredients:

If you are in Canada, you can also search by main ingredient here:

http://www.kraftcanada.com/en/Recipes/Se鈥?/a>

Note: Kraft Canada only lets you search by main ingredient but they have good options such as meals for kids, healthy living and ready in 30 min or less.

Hope you find a recipe search engine that fits your needs! Is there some sort of recipe search engine where ...?

i'm not sure if it works exactly like that, but i always go to

foodnetwork.com when i need a recipie. they seem to do all right and they alwyas give different ways to cook the smae thing so it has good options. good luck!!!
Try the link below. You can specify ingredients you have on hand and even exclude ingredients you don't have or don't like.
go to www.recipezaar.com and they do it, so does this site, www.allrecipes.com. I like both of them, and they are FREE!
Oh yes!!!

http://www.recipezaar.com/ is amazing. You can search by ingrediant, cooking styles etc. I really love this site.
www.allrecipes.com

if you can't find it there it does not exist! They have a feature to list what ingredients you have on hand and they will tell you what to make.
Recipe Zaar!

I just completed a search for recipes that were low carb, low cholesterol, and diabetic! It came back with 2356 recipes!!!

Have fun!

Oh, wouldn't that be nice....

We could just list the contents of the fridge and whip up dinner without wasting a thing. Great project for some computer whiz to program.

No, I don't know of one...but certainly wish I did.

You can however go to Recipes.com and just plug in one word like ';mushrooms'; and it will give you recipes for that one item.
